The 'luminous' designs are imbued with a glow-in-the-dark resin. Twisting open the cap reveals a long, tapered grip section with a #5 size Schmidt stainless steel nib and plastic feed. Each Briolette fountain pen includes a standard international converter to fill with your choice of bottled ink.

To activate the luminous glow-in-the-dark feature of this pen, "charge" it by exposing the pen to bright light, like a desk lamp or phone flashlight. Let it absorb the light for 30-60 seconds. Then, take the pen to a place of complete darkness to see it light up!

Although the Briolette does not have a clip, the faceted sides keep the pen from rolling away when laid on a desk.
