These have been my EDC reading glasses for 5 years now. The recent heat wave caused one of my original pair to weaken and bend at the bridge of the glasses making them unusable and ready to be replaced. Glad to see these glasses back on Amazon.I have 4 pair of these glasses, so I don’t have to worry about where I left them. They’re compact and work great. These Italian made fold-flat reading glasses for travel are less impressive than my German edition made by a no-name maker that I found in the local version of REI (called Globetrotter). These Twist Ones have the benefit/problem of being larger lenses (good or bad depending on what you want) and they scratch easily. Very easily. I've had mine for less than a week and both lenses are now scratched but I have no idea how. They haven't taken any falls, nor any impacts, slides, etc. Wish I could find the other brand, again... next time I'm back in Germany.Update: So, the seller saw this review (above) and contacted me to see if I wanted a replacement. I agreed to try them out, and they sent me a new pair, gratis, plus a different pair called the Nannini, which as the name would imply is smaller (maybe 20% smaller overall), but as the seller was explaining, has a harder lens coating on them, so should be tougher against scratching. With that said, I have to give the seller full marks. That's a different rating, so it doesn't directly apply to the glasses, but I'll try the new ones and see if they do any better. Possibly, the Nannini will l survive better.I really like these glasses. Although, they are light and take up very little space, they are well built. The case that it comes in is very helpful. It helps me keep track of them by letting me store them in this protective case instead of leaving the glasses laying around (and then I forget where I put them). I can carry these glasses around with me in its case, sometimes when I am in a hurry I put the case with the glasses in my back pocket and after awhile I forget they are there and sit down on the couch. Then I can feel them in my back pocket. I carefully take them out of the pocket without them being broken and stick them in my shirt pocket. I don't recommend sitting down with them in your back pocket, but I've done this multiple times and they have not broken. The black handles that fold over your ears have a locking mechanism to keep them in place. That connection between the black handles and the clear plastic lens' have no locking mechanism. The result of this is that if something bumps your glasses while you have them on, they will become very crooked because these connection points will move/fold. The glasses can be straightened out easily, if bumped. The lens is easy to keep clean and free of scratches.Overall, a great product. These glasses are awesome.............I bought one pair and immediately loved them and now I have three more pair for a total of four. I love that they fold flat and fit into my pocket, which is great for those of use that don't carry a purse. I also love that they look trendy, just because I am almost 62, doesn't mean that I have to wear the ugly granny glasses they sell at the local drug store. The baby boomers (which I am a part of) want to continue to look up to date in our senior years,. I guarantee that you will love these glasses and return to buy more!!!These glasses are very light and a cleaver idea in use. They are a little expensive and don't look very elegant - a little cheap actually. They work well though and I am very satisfied so far. I use them most every day on the train to read emails and the paper.Well made. Like the Nannini Compact One, these fold nice and flat for travel. The hinge is a little better designed than the other and they sit a bit more securely on my face. They are also a bit easier to wear than the Compact Ones. The optics are very clear. Good execution.Small and flat. Better price than similar ones from other catalogs. Even though I know the twist feature allows them to store flat I still wish I could hang them from my shirt collar.
