TDWP,2010 Golden God Awards performer & nominee, are coming off of what's been a career year, with no signs things will be slowing anytime soon. It ended with frontman Mike Hranica deciding that before they'd create a new album, they'd release a 5 song EP. The band, who've made the covers of Outburn, Revolver and Alternative Press & toured with Saosin, Day To Remember, and Killswitch Engage, plan to tour in late summer and fall. Track titles are "Survivor," "Outnumbered," "Escape," "Revive," and "Anatomy."
I've been a fan of Prada since their first cd and I gotta say, this is their best yet. I even like it better than the more recent Dead Throne (don't get me wrong, I love Dead Throne as well). First review I've ever put on this site. That's how much I love this band and especially this album. The black vinyl is actually more of a splash of gray which looks really cool. The comic is cheesy, but whatever, it features Prada so it's fun.As for the music itself, the theme is awesome and well thought out (even pretty emotional at times). Lines such as "I will never know sunlight again. I will never see through this nightmare. I will never taste her lips again."Screams are perfect. Mike does a great job with his full passionate screams as he always has done. Lows are even more brutal this time around.Clean singing is incredibly epic. Soaring even. Props to Jeremy. He has come a VERY long way since Prada started and does extremely well with his live performance nowadays.Bass is super heavy and well placed and structured. I love me some bass. Well done.Guitar is catchy, heavy, epic, and beautiful. Wonderful.Keyboard/synth/piano is extremely well placed and thought out. Adds a whole new dimension to the music.Overall an 11/10 album. Thank you for being so consistent Prada.EDIT: I will add that the vinyl quality was a bit less than impressive, but sounds good enough. So if you're an extreme audiophile, don't get too excited.
